DESCRIPTION:This will be a hands-on class to create an illusion using three different colors or shades in a light\, medium and dark fabric strips. The strips will be prepared before coming to class\, which the instructions are included in the supply list\, please see below. \nWe will be making strips out of fabric\, preparing the Foam Board surface for weaving and how to weave a triaxial block layout pattern. This gives a great opportunity to use up scraps or design a fabric for a special project. The design is created by embroidering on organza and adhesive wash-away stabilizer using variegated and coordinating solid color threads. A coordinating fabric will be sewn to the bottom for extra support and then seamed together to create a circular shape. After the project is soaked to remove the stabilizer\, it will be placed on the acrylic cylinder and fairy lights will be added to enhance the overall aesthetic of the lantern.  \nJoin us on this creative journey as we bring light and beauty into your space with our elegant lantern. \nA kit will be available for purchase at the time of class. Includes: One 6-inch Acrylic Cylinder Straight Vase\, Two yards of Adhesive Wash-away Stabilizer\, and Fairy Lights. Kit Fee $14.00. \nThe supply list will be coming soon.
